June, is a Fellow of the
Institute of Legal Executives and has a Diploma in Employment Law and joined
Brooks and Partners in May 2008. June worked for the Royal Mail for many
years as an in-house Lawyer, and took voluntary redundancy in 2003. She
still runs a monthly book club for seven of her ex Royal Mail colleagues and
friends.
June’s interests include
reading (book club requisite!), holidaying, quizzes, both taking part and
watching on TV (she has seen the Weakest Link in Australia, Spain and
Germany!!), entertaining and dancing – you’re never too old to learn to
Rumba!! June also loves all sports but age has limited her to mainly
watching these days although she still plays the odd game of tennis and
rounders. Last but certainly not least she loves spending time with her
kitten, Izzie, her family and her partner.
2008 has so far a good
year as, quite apart from joining Brooks and Partners, June (who is a
fanatical football fan) saw her two teams do extremely well this year. West
Ham avoided Premiership relegation and Hull City gained promotion to the
Premiership via the Championship play offs. However don’t mention England.
On the work front her biggest thrill comes from seeing her client’s
happiness when she has turned a fraught situation into a positive or
manageable one.
