Vickie started her legal
life working as a junior secretary for a Guildford company. She worked there
for a total of 16 years and during that time she decided to take her Legal
Executive exams whilst working at the same time. After a few years hard work
Vickie qualified and decided to deal solely with residential conveyancing.
Vickie has been a Fellow of the Institute for nine years and joined Brooks &
Partners in 2006.
In one of her previous roles, Vickie has also been
a team manager with a team of thirteen conveyancers of various abilities –
this was both a rewarding a challenging job and she feels that she developed
her “people” skills during this period of time! During the last few years
she has had a wealth of experience working in house for a developer; dealing
with mortgage repossession sales and dealing with plot sales in addition to
the normal day to day residential work.
Vickie is a very keen gardener and loves nothing
more than to get home in an evening and go straight out to potter in her
garden. Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower shows are always in her calendar
and she is awaiting a request from the BBC to take over Gardeners World on a
Friday night! When she is not gardening, she is getting lost walking in the
Surrey Hills or if it is wet with her nose stuck in a book! Cooking is not
her forte and friends will go to great lengths to avoid the need for her to
venture into her kitchen which she has only said is there because it came
with the house! |
