Barclays CEO Reprimand

Barclays have reprimanded their Chief Executive, Les Staley, for trying to uncover the identity of an anonymous ‘whistle-blower’.

The investigation into his actions found that he had acted in the honest but mistaken belief that it was permissible to attempt to identify whistle-blowers.

Despite his apology the Board have resolved to significantly adjust his variable compensation award.
