Injury to Feelings Compensation

Whilst there is no financial limit on injury to feelings awards in discrimination claims, the Presidents of the Employment Tribunals are consulting on increasing the compensation bands that are typically applied by employment judges (last update in 2009) to the following:

Lower band—£1,000 to £8000

Middle band—£8,000 to £25,000

Upper band—£25,000 to £42,000
