Women Not Paid Minimum Wage

The Low Pay Commission had found that two thirds of workers who are not paid the National Minimum Wage are women although this is perhaps unsurprising considering that most workers who receive the NMW are female in any event.

It also reported that most instances of underpayment relate to employers who simply do not react in time to NMW increases.

The report also finds that women are less likely to complain about not receiving the NMW than men.
